Bali é segura?

Bali é segura no geral, sendo os acidentes de viação o maior perigo. O crime violento é raro, mas vigie carteiristas em multidões, bebidas adulteradas e burlas de táxis falsos. As emergências falam inglês básico. Traga sempre identificação e atente ao feriado anual do Nyepi, em que toda a ilha, incluindo o aeroporto, encerra por 24 horas.

Perigos no trânsito

As estradas de Bali são caóticas e pouco seguras, dominadas por motas. Use sempre capacete, não conduza de noite ou após consumir álcool e pondere um motorista privado se não estiver familiarizado com as condições locais de condução.

Álcool adulterado

Bebidas ilegais ou caseiras, como arak adulterado, causaram intoxicações mortais por metanol. Beba só em locais de confiança. Pare logo e dê o alerta se uma bebida tiver sabor invulgarmente químico ou adocicado.

Restrições do Nyepi

No Ano Novo Balinês (Nyepi), a ilha para por 24 horas. É proibido andar na rua, as luzes apagam-se, o comércio e o aeroporto fecham, e os turistas devem ficar nos hotéis sob vigilância policial.

Cigarros eletrónicos e tabaco

Vaporizadores e cigarros eletrónicos são ilegais na Indonésia e sujeitos a apreensão. O tabaco normal é comum, mas proibido em espaços públicos fechados sinalizados. Não compre produtos desconhecidos a vendedores suspeitos.

Documento de identificação

Tenha sempre consigo o passaporte ou uma cópia. A polícia faz controlos de identidade, sobretudo após acidentes de viação; a falta de documento pode dar multa. Deixe uma cópia adicional com um companheiro de viagem.

Etiqueta nos templos e costumes locais

Use os sarongs fornecidos e vista-se de forma recatada ao entrar nos templos. Evite pisar as oferendas nos passeios (canang sari). A embriaguez em público e o uso de fatos de banho reduzidos fora da praia são considerados ofensivos.

Limites de levantamento nas caixas

As caixas automáticas costumam limitar levantamentos a 2,5 ou 3 milhões de IDR por transação. Leve vários cartões e recuse a conversão dinâmica de moeda. Prefira balcões bancários oficiais ou casas de câmbio com o logótipo Peci.

Encerramentos em feriados religiosos

O comércio fecha ou reduz horários no Galungan, Kuningan e Nyepi. O ritmo abranda nas zonas muçulmanas nas manhãs de Ramadão. Planeie transportes e refeições com antecedência nas datas dos grandes festivais.
